At our garden center, our cashiers are some of our most valued customer service stars! They often provide the first and last impression for our guests, so it’s super important that they greet everyone warmly, understand their needs, and connect them with the right team member. When it’s time to check out, we expect our cashiers to deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly service, ensuring our guests leave with smiles on their faces. Between guests, cashiers help keep our garden center looking fabulous, following our brand standards.

What You’ll Do:

• Welcome guests as they enter and say goodbye with a thank you as they leave.
• Handle transactions smoothly at the cash register.
• Scan items and make sure prices are spot-on.
• Collect payments—cash, check or credit.
• Provide receipts, refunds, or change as needed.
• Help bag or box up the plants and goodies our guests buy.
• Make sure every guest feels appreciated and cared for. If they have gardening questions, either help them find the answers or connect them with someone who can!
• Keep your checkout area tidy and inviting.
• Maintain the overall cleanliness of the sales area, including some light weeding, sweeping, and dusting.
• Participate in plant care tasks across all departments, such as watering, weeding, tagging, stocking, moving, trimming, planting, and potting.
• Help out with unpacking deliveries.
• Pitch in with other departments whenever you can!

What We’re Looking For:

• Must be 16 and older (as of January 1, 2026).
• A basic understanding of computers.
• Good math skills are always a plus!
• Strong communication skills with a knack for managing your time.
• The ability to handle the physical demands of the job is important

Hey there! Our loader personnel are an essential part of our customer service family. They greet our guests with friendly smiles as they load their purchases into their vehicles. When they’re not loading, they lend a helping hand in the nursery area, providing great support to our nursery leaders. Every day, they help keep the nursery looking organized, clean, and beautiful.

What You'll Do:

• Help load trees, shrubs, and other goodies into our guests’ cars with a friendly attitude.
• Assist in unloading fresh deliveries.
• Take care of our plants by watering, weeding, tagging, stocking, and sometimes trimming, planting, or potting up.
• Work as a supportive team member alongside your fellow associates throughout the store.

Who We're Looking For:

• You must be 16 years or older (as of January 1, 2026).
• We value honesty, reliability, energy, a strong work ethic, punctuality, and a well-groomed appearance.
• Need to be able to work weekends. Flexibility to work various shifts.

At our garden center, production workers are truly the heart and soul of what we do! They take care of our beautiful crops before they go to the retail floor. If you enjoy working with plants and love the outdoors, this might be the perfect job for you!

What You’ll Do:

• Transplant seedlings into flats, baskets, pots, or other containers.
• Help move plants around to keep everything organized and thriving.
• Get creative and plant up beautiful combination pots.
• Ensure proper spacing and organization for the plants to flourish.
• Participate in other fun tasks like watering, weeding, tagging, and stocking.
• Keep the production area tidy and neat (we like to keep things looking great!).
• Occasionally lend a hand on the retail side as a Sales Floor Associate:
  • Warmly greet and direct our lovely guests.
  • Share your knowledge by answering product questions (like features, pricing, and care tips).
  • Encourage customers to explore other products that complement their choices.
  • Share customer feedback with the Store Manager to help us grow!

• We want someone who is honest, reliable, energetic, hardworking, punctual, and well-groomed.
• Flexibility to work various shifts. Production usually works Monday - Friday, but you might be asked to work some weekend shifts.

The greenhouse and nursery area are home to dynamic, seasonally changing colors reflected in our visual displays. Sales staff are responsible for helping guests select the right plant for their site and providing necessary care information to make the guests' gardening experience successful. They are available to help guests troubleshoot when problems arise with their plants and address concerns while educating them on proper remedies. Sales Floor team members ensure plants are kept in mint condition and maintain the visual appeal of the areas.

What You'll Do:

• Greet and guide our wonderful guests.
• Offer accurate information and answer guests' questions about our products, prices, and care instructions.
• Help guests find and gather items for their purchases.
• Pitch in to help unload deliveries.
• Suggest complementary products to enhance the guest's experience.
• Share customer feedback with our Store Manager to help us improve.
• Keep our sales area neat and tidy through weeding, sweeping, and dusting.
• Take part in plant care duties, such as watering, weeding, tagging, stocking, moving, trimming, planting, and potting.

1) When do you start interviewing?
Production: We’ll be holding interviews at the end of February. Production will start beginning of March.

Retail Positions (Salesfloor, Loader, Cashiers): We’ll begin interviews in mid-March, and new hires will start from mid-March to mid-April.

2) Can I take the application home?

You’re welcome to bring your resume, but you'll still need to complete an application.

5) What’s the minimum age to work here?
You must be 16 (as of January 1, 2026) or older to work here. Sorry, there are no exceptions. For Production and Salesfloor, you must be 18 or older (as of January 1, 2026) and have graduated from High school.

6) Is this a year-round job?
Not quite! This is a seasonal position, and we’re looking for help for the spring season (approximately March to June).
New team members will start throughout March and early April. Just a heads-up: we typically lay off staff from the end of May through mid-June.
If you’re unable to start in March or early April, please hold off on applying.

• We’re looking for team members who are flexible with their schedules! This is just a friendly heads-up that weekend shifts will be part of the role (unless you are applying for Production). We understand that school and other commitments are important, so we’ll do our best to work around those, although we can only accommodate a limited number of requests. Thanks for your understanding!

7) Do you hire for part-time and full-time hours?
Yes! We’re looking for both part-time (less than 40 hours) and full-time (40 hours) team members.

8) Will there be training?
Absolutely! If you’re hired, we’ll make sure you receive all the training you need for your role.

9) What time are you taking applications?
You can pick up an application during our business hours at the store office at the back, through the brown doors. We’re open Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm and closed on Sundays. If you’d like to fill out the application here, come before 4 pm.

10) Do I need to bring anything when filling out an application at the store?
Yes, please bring three reference names (who aren’t related to you), along with their phone numbers and addresses. If you have work history, it’s helpful to include the name of the company or companies, dates worked, their addresses, phone numbers, and your supervisor's name.

11) Should I call back to check on my application status?
Once you’ve submitted your application, please hold off on calling to ask about it. If we’re interested, we’ll reach out to you to set up an interview.

13) How much do you pay per hour?
The pay rate is $13.00 per hour.

It is essential that you have reliable transportation and childcare arrangements to ensure you can attend your scheduled shifts. Many of our jobs rely on teamwork, and it is crucial that everyone is present at the start of their shift to ensure smooth operations. Your commitment to being here on time is expected.
