Redbor Kale

Redbor is an ornamental kale variety that is also edible. It is extremely cold-tolerant, and its purple color and curly leaves become more vibrant while its flavor sweetens as temperatures drop in the fall. These plants can even survive hard freezes. When consumed raw, Redbor has an earthy, nutty, grassy, bitter, and vegetal taste. However, when cooked, it becomes sweeter and milder. You can enjoy the leaves by clipping them individually.
