Extra-large, rich golden yellow flowers completely shroud the bare stems in early spring. When in full bloom, it becomes the focal point of the landscape and blends well with other plants when the rich green foliage emerges after the flowers.
One of the most popular folklore surrounding forsythia is the saying, “Three snows after the forsythias bloom.” In some areas, forsythia is also known as the “Easter Tree,” with this name stemming from the fact that they come into bloom around Easter time.
