Hi, my name is Wilson, the self-proclaimed King of Wilson’s Garden Center (I let the humans think they run things).
Let me tell you a little about how I got here.
I came to Wilson’s after my old owners left me. At first, I was wild and didn’t trust anyone—think secret agent on a top-secret mission—but my new family worked hard for over a year to earn my trust.
They gave me food and talked to me, but I was scared and ran away.
One day, when I got really sick, they caught me and took me to the doctor, who found I had lungworm. I had to stay in the office while I recovered, and that’s when I realized these people really loved me and wanted me to stay. I started letting them pet me, and though I still don’t like being held much, I love being petted.
I almost didn’t make it that year, but my family saved me. I had to take medicine for a long time.
Because of lungworm, I still have breathing trouble and asthma that worsens in the fall. I get regular checkups to stay healthy.
Now, I lounge in my favorite sunny spots like a professional sunbather or follow people around like their fuzzy shadow. I dislike dogs (they drool too much) and only tolerate kids (they move too fast for my liking).
At night, I stay in the office, binge-watch Cat Tube TV on the computer, munch on treats, and basically live the pampered celebrity life.
P.S. Make sure to keep an eye out for me in the parking lot when you drive in. I love to go out front and play dodge the cars.
